The Bonanza Inn
The Bonanza Inn boasts 7 private rooms, each with their own full bath and air conditioning. Located one block off main street, you can walk to all Virginia City has to offer. A great property to rent for family reunions, bachelor/bachelorette parties or a corporate retreat. Rent by the night or by the week.
This building was constructed in 1866 and served as the county courthouse during Virginia City's stint as the territorial capital. When the present courthouse replaced this one, 3 Catholic Sisters of Charity from Leavenworth, Kansas came and opened St. Mary's Hospital for miners. The hospital briefly prospered till the placer gold was exhausted. In 1940, Mr. Bovey remodeled the interior as a hotel but little has changed on the exterior from the eighteen seventies.
